Northern Pygmy Owl, Southwest British Columbia, Canada
This February, I was extremely fortunate to witness two hours of this tiny little owl zipping around the young conifer trees of its home. It was amazing to see it surveilling the landscape for potential prey to catch, like rodents, amphibians, insects or sometimes even small birds... whatever it felt it could take on.
